Abstract: The modern industrial democracy, regardless of the challenges followed by the fourth industrial revolution, the pressure of neoliberal policies, the globalization of capital and the modified labor market, both in terms of the humanization of labor but also in terms of labor productivity, must build an appropriate approach and incorporate the policies for safety and health at work. The new social contract as a social phenomenon, regardless of all the modifications prompted by the social dialogue, must provide a structural, legal and political incentive to safety and health at work both from an institutional and from a practical-experiential aspect. In this sense, the paper refers to some activities that should be the subject of social dialogue, and which will refer to the improvement and advancement of the legal framework for safety and health at work, participation in the creation of national strategies and policies, as well as raising one’s own capacities and public awareness
