Abstract:
In recent years, the Macedonian economy has faced numerous challenges, including global economic instabilities, commodity price fluctuations, inflationary pressures, and disruptions in supply chains. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the foreign trade of the R.N. Macedonia in 2024, identifying key trends, major trading partners, and the sectors with the highest share in trade. The analysis of the trade balance for 2024 reveals both challenges and opportunities for economic development. The decline in exports and imports compared to the previous year, along with the significant trade deficit, underscores the need for strategic reforms within the country’s trade policy framework. A comprehensive approach is required to enhance the competitiveness of Macedonian companies, including initiatives to streamline administrative procedures, invest in infrastructure, and support innovation in industry. Investments in technology, digitalization, and the modernization of production capacities should play a crucial role in boosting the competitiveness of the Macedonian economy on the global market.

Keywords: foreign trade, R.N. Macedonia, 2024, future challenges.
