Abstract:
Decision-making is a complex process influenced by various factors, including personal preferences, value systems, motivations, and external circumstances. This study focuses on the career choice process among young individuals, analyzing the role of normative and descriptive decision-making theories. By examining personality traits based on the “Big Five” model, the study emphasizes the importance of alignment between personal characteristics and professional requirements. The study suggests that understanding personality traits and motivations in adolescents can aid in making optimal career decisions, leading to greater professional satisfaction and success.

Keywords: adolescence, profession, decision, motivation, personality traits.
