Abstract:
Democracy is a system of governance in which power originates from the will of the citizens, ensuring their active participation in political decision-making. This concept ensures that all members of society have the right to engage in political processes, vote in elections, and contribute to shaping laws and policies that govern their lives. Democratic processes in Macedonian society and partisanship are two closely related concepts that shape the political and social dynamics in the Republic of North Macedonia. In the context of the post-communist transition and the establishment of an independent state in 1991, Macedonia entered a period of political, economic, and social changes where the fundamental principle of democracy was embraced as a guiding value.
