[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Eleven top philosophers from the Universities from Poland, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia, attended the opening of The Fifth International Philosophers dialogue \u201cEAST – WEST\u201d, which was held on October 2nd 2019 in the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, starting at 11 AM. Organized by the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, The International Slavic University of G.R. Derzhavin, Faculty of Philosophy at the University \u201cSt. Cyril and Methodius\u201d from Skopje and the Philosophical Society of Macedonia from October 2nd<\/sup> to October 4th<\/sup> 2019, the Fifth International Philosophical Dialogue \u201cEAST – WEST\u201d was held.<\/p>\n

Academic Vlado Kambovski from the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Jordan Gjorcev, PhD, the president of the Board at the International Slavic University \u201cG.R. Derzhavin\u201d, Ivan Dzeparoski, PhD, head of the Institute of Philosophy at UKIM and the President of the Philosophical Society of Macedonia Ljupco Mitkovski gave a speech. Josef Nizhnik, PhD, professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Ivan Dzparoski, Head of the institute of Philosophy at UKIM and Boshko Karadzov, PhD, professor of Philosophy presented their work.<\/p>\n

The theme of the gathering was \u201cThe Crisis of the Idea of Europe\u201d. Prominent academics, professors and philosophical researchers from Poland, Greece, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia took part in this event. The dialogue took place in three Macedonian cities: Skopje, Bitola and Ohrid.<\/p>\n

On October 3rd<\/sup> (Thursday) on the premises of the International Slavic University \u201cG.R. Derzhavin\u201d in Bitola, the second part of the Fifth International Philosophical Dialogue \u201cEAST \u2013 WEST\u201d, continued. The theme of the symposium was \u201cThe Crisis of the Idea of Europe\u201d.<\/p>\n

The second part of the Fifth International Philosophical Dialogue \u201cEAST \u2013 WEST\u201d continued on October 3rd<\/sup> (Thursday) on the premises of the International Slavic University \u201cG.R. Derzhavin\u201d in Bitola. The theme of the symposium was \u201cThe Crisis of the Idea of Europe\u201d.<\/p>\n

At this session, Dragan Prole, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Novi Sad, Risto Solunchev, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at UKIM, Evangelos Propopapadakis, PhD, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Athens in Greece and Milan Gjorgjev, PhD, Vice Dean for Science and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Theology at UKIM presented their work.<\/p>\n

The Fifth Philosophical Dialogue \u201cEAST \u2013 WEST\u201d ended in the conference hall of Hotel Palace Garden in Ohrid.<\/p>\n

At the last session of the dialogue, on October 4th<\/sup> (Friday), Darko Jogo, PhD, from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dejan Donev, PhD, and Ljubomir Gajdov from North Macedonia and Georgios Iliopoulos from Greece, presented their work.<\/p>\n
